How to Choose Your Extensions
Length Lengths range from sizes 7-15mm. Your most common lengths are 8-12mm (this achieves a very natural but noticeable look). It is so important to determine if your client has weak or strong eyelashes when selecting lengths appropriate for your clients natural lashes. If your client has weak lashes, do not extend more than 50% the existing length. If your client has strong, healthy lashes you will use your discretion to select a longer length but never more than 100% the extension length.
Curl Lashes come in a variety of curl and this will give you flexibility to work with any client or eye shape. There are other curls available but we consider these fad lashes as you can do all that you need with a B, C and D Curl. The C Curl gives an even curl throughout the lash that provides an even amount of bonding area, it is the most popular lash to create maximum uplift without looking unnatural. Otherwise known as ‘lash fillers’ this curl creates a full, curly and voluminous look to any lash line.
Pro’s: Enhanced Curl. Great Profile, Great Frontal Profile
Thickness There is a variety of lash thickness ranging from .5mm to upwards of .30mm. As the lash trend evolves, the heavier lashes have lost favour and it is universally recognised that any lash over .20mm, unless shorter than the natural lash, is considered too heavy for a natural lash to support. For weak lashes we recommend using a .15’s or less. For strong lashes we suggest using .18’s or .20’s. Heavier lashes should only be used for accent lashing. For the classic lash application (1:1) extensions used range from .10’s, .12’s, .15’s, .18’s, .20’s, with the use of .25’s if shorter than the natural lash.
